LG G3 Revealed On LG Netherlands’ Website

The LG G3 is hardly a secret. LG has not tried to hide the fact that they’re making an LG G3, and have even hinted at some the phone’s specs in the past. Well if you’re wondering what’s in store for you and you can’t wait for the 27th of May, you’re in luck, because LG Netherlands might have accidentally let the cat out of the bag a bit earlier than intended.

The company’s official website has posted photos and details about LG’s upcoming flagship handset, the LG G3, which basically confirms everything that we know and have seen about the handset so far, except that this time we are treated to higher quality images, rather than “spy” photos.

For those who might have missed our coverage or who want to confirm the exact specs of the LG G3, here’s what LG Netherlands has put on their website. For starters the phone will indeed pack a 5.5-inch display. Its resolution will be of the QHD variety, meaning that we can look forward to a resolution of 2560×1440 with a pixel density of 538ppi.

The phone will be accompanied by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset, 2GB of RAM, a 13MP camera with OIS+ laser autofocus, a 2.1MP front-facing camera, a lightweight metallic design, wireless charging, a 3,000mAh battery, a microSD card slot, and Android 4.4 KitKat. We should point out that these official specs are slightly different from what we had heard.

We had heard that the LG G3 could feature a Snapdragon 805 chipset with 3GB of RAM, but it does not look to be the case here. Perhaps the rumors were wrong, or perhaps LG might use a different chipset for different regions, who knows? But those are the official specs, but perhaps LG will have more to share come 27th of May, so check back with us tomorrow for the details.
